Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kigali International Airport
Upon arrival you will be welcomed by a Verdant Safaris company representative who will brief you on the 2 day tour and depending on the time you arrive you will do a Kigali City Tour visiting the Rwanda Genocide Memorial. Visit the cultural museum of Rwanda and the local market, after which you will be transferred to Kigali International Airport for your Helicopter Flight to Volcanoes National Park. It takes approximately 25 minutes helicopter flight. You will be received upon landing and transferred to the lodge. Dinner and staying overnight at
Bisate Lodge.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Experience
After your early morning breakfast at the lodge, you will head out to the park headquarters as you prepare to track the mountain gorillas. You will be briefed by the ranger guides about the whole gorilla tracking exercise and you will be put in groups of 8 people, led by a ranger guide to guide you through the forest in search of the gorillas. Gorilla Trekking is an amazing experience and the gorillas live in harmony together with other creatures. Along the hike you may be chanced to see other park animals like the giant forest hog, forest elephants and forest duikers. Once you locate the gorillas, you will be allowed up to 1 hour with them for observation and photography. At the end of the gorilla tracking experience, you will go to the airstrip for a helicopter transfer to Kigali International Airport to catch up with your outbound flight back home.
