Our 4 Days Hiking Nyiragongo and Gorilla Trekking Safari will give you a chance of exploring two countries at the same time. You will have the opportunity to visit Volcanoes National Park of Rwanda for the mountain gorilla experience. This is a subspecies of the Eastern gorilla-gorilla beringei. Visit Virunga National Park for Nyiragongo Volcano hike. It is top of Africa’s most active volcanoes.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by a Verdant Safaris company representative who will transfer you to Volcanoes National Park. The journey is approximately 3 hours drive to arrive at the destination. You will enjoy an afternoon entertainment from the Iby’iwacu Community. Arrive for check in at the lodge.
Dinner and staying overnight at
Bisate Gorilla Lodge

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Experience
Following an early morning breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and transfer to the gorilla trekking starting point. Briefing will be done by the park rangers after in groups of eight you will do the activity. Trekking takes 2 or more hours depending on how far the gorillas have moved. After the gorilla tracking experience, you will transfer to Lake Kivu. Dinner and staying overnight at

Day 3: Transfer to DRC – Hiking Mount Nyiragongo
Have morning tea or coffee after which you head towards the border for crossing with the help of your destination guide through Goma town. You will have briefing before beginning the hike. You will hike until the summit where you will spend an overnight. Enjoy breathtaking pictures of the glowing hot glaze mountain. Overnight at
Nyiragongo Mountain Hut
Meal Plan: Dinner and Breakfast.
Day 4: Descend the Mountain – Departure
You will wake up to depart from the summit early in the morning, arriving at the Virunga forest where your guide will be waiting to transfer you to Kigali for your international flight back home.
